• Registered Cattery: Our official cattery name, PastelRagdolls, is registered with TICA (The International Cat Association). This is one of the world’s most reputable feline registries. You can view our official breeder listing and confirm that we are actively registering litters directly on the TICA website here. This listing provides third-party verification of our active and ongoing status as a TICA-recognized cattery. We are also registered with the CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association) under the name PastelRags, which can be independently confirmed on the CFA website.

Since we give our mother cats time to rest between litters, kittens are not always available. Most of our kittens are placed through our priority waiting list, with only a limited number posted on our website each year. Please visit our Ragdoll Kittens for Sale page to see current availability. This page is always kept up-to-date.

We are a small, preservation-focused breeding program specializing in Ragdoll kittens. On rare occasions, a retired adult Ragdoll may come available for adoption. Because these opportunities are uncommon, we do not maintain a waiting list for our adult cats and we do not discuss potential retirements prior to spay/neuter. Decisions regarding retirement are made thoughtfully, with each cat’s wellbeing as our top priority.

When a retired adult is ready for placement, they will be posted on our Available Ragdoll Kittens page. Applications will only be accepted at that time so we can give our full attention to selecting the very best home. We prioritize homes in Arizona and neighboring states in order to keep our retired adults close by.

Please note that inquiries regarding the adoption of our active breeding cats will not be considered.

We do not host in-home visits, meet-and-greets or kitten pickups at our private residence.

For the safety of our family and our Ragdolls, we do not invite unfamiliar individuals into our home. This is a non-negotiable and standard policy for most in-home catteries.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Wellness, and I am also a Registered Nurse (RN). I am very grateful for my nursing skills and training, which I use nearly every day as a breeder. My background has given me a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, reproduction, medication dosing, medical terminology, lab work and nutrition. In my experience, this all translates from humans to animals and applies greatly to my work as a breeder.

We are located in Arizona, outside of Phoenix. Our kittens have been adopted by families who live all over the country.

If you live out of state, you can hire a professional flight nanny, who flies in-cabin with your kitten to your local airport and delivers the kitten directly to you. I am happy to recommend you to our preferred, trusted flight nanny companies. We are also able to meet you at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport with your kitten if you would prefer to fly in yourself for pick up in person.

Spay/neuter is an essential part of any ethical breeding program and it is the best choice for our kittens. Here are some proven facts about early spay/neuter in felines:

• The practice of early spay/neuter prevents unintended pregnancies + decreases the homeless cat population

• Lowers risk of mammary cancer

• Eliminates risk of reproductive emergencies, such as pyometra

• Results in faster healing time

• Lowers risk of surgical complications

• The procedure is easier, quicker and safer if done before 5 months of age

• A 1996 study demonstrated no difference in urethral diameter between cats neutered at 7 weeks, neutered at 7 months, or left intact

I welcome the opportunity to develop relationships with other small, registered, ethical Ragdoll catteries. I will occasionally work with other breeders who already have an established program, with goals that align with my own. Any breeder I work with must practice early spay/neuter and only breed traditional, pointed Ragdolls with blue eyes (no mink, sepia, solid, etc.).

Ragdolls are one of the largest cat breeds. When it comes to Ragdoll Size, males typically grow to be 11-20 pounds. Females are generally a little smaller at an average of 8-15 pounds.

There are many different Ragdoll Colors and Patterns to choose from. Traditional Ragdoll cats come in: seal, blue, red, cream, tortie, lilac and chocolate. Patterns include colorpoint, mitted and bicolor. Here at Pastel Ragdolls, we mainly focus on classic blue and seal Ragdolls in the bicolor and mitted patterns, with and without Lynx Overlay.

Despite what some may claim, Ragdoll cats are Not Hypoallergenic.

In regards to Ragdoll Shedding, they do minimally shed. They are known for their ultra soft and beautiful, bunny-like coats. Because they lack an undercoat, Ragdolls do tend to shed less than other cat breeds. Weekly brushing and regular vacuuming helps us stay on top of shedding!

When Grooming Your Ragdoll, they are fairly low maintenance. We recommend weekly brushing/combing and nail trimming every other week. Some Ragdoll coat types may also benefit from an occasional bath.

A Ragdoll cat, when bred correctly, is a floppy, outgoing, sweet, docile and social companion kitty. They are frequently Lap Cats, often love snuggling and want to be involved in daily activities. They are very loyal and bond deeply with their humans.

Ragdolls are affectionately called “puppy-cats” because of how dog-like they are. They usually love playing fetch and follow their owners from room to room throughout the house. They generally Get Along Great with Dogs and other cats.

Ragdolls and Young Children are usually a great pairing! These docile cats are very patient, gentle and easy-going, making them a great choice for homes with kids.

Ragdolls are a very slow maturing cat breed. They continue to grow and develop until they reach 3-4 years old.

The Ragdoll is the world’s most popular cat breed and demand is high. It is very expensive to properly raise Ragdoll kittens and maintain an ethical Ragdoll cattery, so Ragdoll Kitten Pricing is understandably high. We highly discourage allowing your Ragdoll Cat Outdoors outside of an enclosed pet carrier or stroller. Going outside exposes your cat to many potential diseases and dangers. Ragdolls have been specifically bred to be extremely gentle-natured and loving. They do not have the normal survival instincts that other cats have so they may not pick up on the potential dangers of the outside world. This leaves them very vulnerable to injury, and even death, when let outdoors to roam freely. For your Ragdoll kitten’s health and safety, we highly recommend keeping them inside where they will be just as happy cuddled up with you on the couch!

Ragdolls are companion cats. They crave love, socialization and human interaction. They get very attached to their owners, making them more prone to separation anxiety. If your job requires you to be gone for the majority of the day, we highly recommend Adopting Littermates or having a second kitty friend to keep your Ragdoll company.
