Adopt a Ragdoll Kitten

This page explains how to adopt a kitten from Pastel Ragdolls.
Have Questions? Be sure to also check out our
FAQ Page.

Our waiting list is currently open.
If you're ready to reserve a spot, here's how our process works:

Step 1 : Wait for Your Ragdoll Kitten

For those interested in adopting a Pastel kitten, we now offer an official waiting list to guarantee your spot. Here’s how to begin:

  1. Submit an Adoption Application

This helps us get to know you and determine if we’re the right fit for each other.

  2. Approval + Deposit

Once approved, you will be invited to place a $500 nonrefundable deposit to reserve your spot. This deposit will be applied to the total adoption fee of the kitten you choose. To ensure we’re working with committed adopters and to prevent extended wait times, waiting list deposits are valid for 1 year from the date of joining. With multiple litters planned each year, you’ll have several opportunities to find your perfect match.

  3. Sign Our Deposit Agreement

This brief form outlines the policies and procedures of our waiting list to give you a clear understanding of what to expect throughout the process.

Once added to our waiting list, you’ll gain access to our exclusive Google Drive folder, which includes birth announcements, litter updates and other kitten information. You’ll also be able to monitor your position on the waiting list there. I sometimes share short videos of our newborn kittens on the drive as well, but these are posted randomly and only when I have extra time.

Alternatively, you can choose not to join the waiting list and instead monitor our Available Kittens page and our Instagram Page, where we may occasionally have kittens listed for the public.

Step 2 : Reserve Your Ragdoll Kitten

When it's your turn to choose your kitten, here's what happens next:

  1. Sign our Adoption Contract

Our adoption contract outlines our health guarantees and policies.

  2. Place your Reservation Deposit

The reservation deposit is $500 if you are already on our waiting list or $1000 if you are not on our waiting list.

To be fair to all of our adoptive families, the reservation process must be completed within 24 hours of being offered a kitten. After that time, the kitten will become available again to others.

Please note that all deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and are applied to your final adoption balance.

Step 3 : Pay Your Remaining Balance

The remaining balance for your Ragdoll kitten is due at least 7 days before your scheduled pickup or delivery date. This helps ensure everything is in order as travel plans are finalized.

Please note that all payments made toward a kitten are nonrefundable.

For full details on pricing and payment, be sure to visit the pricing section on our Available Ragdoll Kittens page.

Step 4 : Schedule the Pickup/Delivery of Your Ragdoll Kitten

Please bring a pet carrier to transport your kitten home.

There are a few different options for kitten pickup/delivery:

  • Flight Nanny Delivery

Our kittens are frequently delivered out of state using professional flight nannies. The flight nanny will accompany your kitten safely in-cabin and hand-deliver them to your local airport directly to you. Arrangements for this service will be made between you and the transportation company. I am happy to refer you to our preferred, trusted couriers.

  • Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Pickup

If you live out of state, you can also fly into Arizona to pick up your kitten in-person at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

  • Local Arizona Pickup

If you live in Arizona, we offer a local pickup option at a public place to ensure safety for both parties. Unless other arrangements are made, the meeting place will be at the PetSmart nearest our home. If you are local, please keep in mind that we do not offer cattery visiting hours or kitten pickups at our home. Our homeowner’s insurance does not cover in-home cattery visits and we try to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission to our cats and kittens as much as possible. Thank you for being respectful of this decision.

Step 5 : Get Ready to Welcome Your Adorable & Loving Ragdoll Kitten!

Please prepare for bringing home your new kitten by reading the information that I email you and gathering Kitten Supplies. I also recommend scheduling the appointment for your kitten’s veterinarian exam as soon as possible. Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! ♡

Our Ragdoll Kitten Adoption Policies

The lifelong health and wellbeing of our kittens is very important to us. We ask each of our adopters to agree to the following policies:

Lifetime Commitment | All of our kittens are adopted under the premise that they have found their forever family and home. We trust that you will never abandon your kitten to an animal shelter. We do understand that life happens and circumstances can change, but we ask that you first notify Pastel Ragdolls if you are no longer able to care for your kitten for any reason.

No Outdoor Free Roaming | We want our kittens to be indoor cats. Allowing any cat outdoors puts them at greater risk for catching disease and becoming physically harmed. Ragdolls have been bred to be extremely gentle, trusting and loving. They do not have the normal survival instincts that outdoor cats have. Most likely, a Ragdoll cat would not survive long on their own outside. Please don’t put your Ragdoll kitty’s life and safety at risk by letting them roam freely outdoors.

No FeLV Vaccinations | This is a non-core vaccination and only recommended for outdoor cats. All of our breeding cats are tested negative for FeLV so it is not in our home environment. This vaccine is associated with an increased risk of injection-site sarcoma (cancer) in felines and the Ragdoll breed is also more prone to vaccine reactions. I ultimately leave all healthcare decisions up to the new owner. However, if the kitten is vaccinated with FeLV, it will void all health guarantees I offer.

I only recommend FVRCP vaccinations and the Rabies vaccination (if required by your state).
