Personality Description: Sugar Pie is the sweetest, most affectionate little lovebug - a true Ragdoll in every sense. She is gentle, loving and completely touch-focused, always seeking out my lap to curl up in. She also likes to lick and give kisses. From the moment she came into our lives, she has been pure joy, leaning into every pet, purring instantly and soaking up attention. Sugar Pie is incredibly floppy and relaxed, enjoying being held like a baby, curled against my chest. She has a soft, calm and loving energy that makes her a perfect lap cat and a natural companion. Sugar Pie also has playful moments and loves chasing the wand toys, pouncing and batting at them with enthusiasm. She thrives on human interaction and would flourish in a home that enjoys spending quality time with their pets. I feel she would do well in a variety of homes, with or without children and other pets.
Physical Attributes: Sugar Pie is a petite seal bicolor girl with the most adorable, distinctive markings that give her a lot of personality. I love her coat. It’s soft, plush and the classic “bunny” texture that makes her so snuggly and easy to care for. Her big, deep blue eyes are absolutely stunning and almost make her look unreal! Even though she’s on the smaller side for a Ragdoll, I love her delicate, graceful build. Every time I look at her, I can’t get over how perfectly her markings, eyes and coat come together to make such a sweet little Ragdoll.
Special Adoption Opportunity (Please Read): During Sugar Pie’s veterinary exam, only one kidney was palpated. A quick follow-up ultrasound confirmed that she only has a single kidney, a congenital condition that occasionally occurs in Ragdolls. Aside from this internal difference, Sugar Pie is thriving and has been playful, loving and full of personality. She has no outward differences when compared to our other kittens. Because of her difference, Sugar Pie will be adopted under an “as-is” contract, with full medical disclosure and without our standard 2-year health guarantee. This allows her adoption fee to be significantly reduced while ensuring her future family understands and accepts her unique needs.
Many single-kidney cats live completely normal, healthy lifespans, just as humans with one kidney can. With a little extra awareness, they can enjoy the same happy and active lives as any other cat.
To help support her kidney health throughout life, Sugar Pie’s adopter should plan for:
A Moisture-Rich Diet: Prioritize high-quality canned or raw food to support hydration and kidney function.
Plentiful Access to Fresh Water: Water fountains are excellent for encouraging regular drinking.
Routine Veterinary Monitoring: Periodic bloodwork is recommended to monitor kidney function over time.
