Adopt a Ragdoll Kitten

This page outlines the process of adopting a kitten from Pastel Ragdolls. Make sure to also stop by our FAQ Page.

Step 1 : Wait for Your Ragdoll Kitten

We no longer keep a waiting list. After evaluation, our kittens will be posted as available on our website’s Available Ragdoll Kittens Page and sometimes on our Instagram Page. If you are interested in adopting a kitten from us, we highly recommend monitoring both of these pages. Our kittens tend to go very quickly, so be sure to reach out soon if you see a kitten that you are interested in.

Step 2 : Reserve Your Ragdoll Kitten

  1. Submit Adoption Application | It is very important to us that our kittens go to loving, forever homes, so our kittens are only available to approved adopters. To begin the reservation process, first submit an Adoption Application to become approved for adoption.

  2. Sign Our Adoption Contract | Once you have submitted an Adoption Application and we both feel that it is a good fit, our Adoption Contract will be emailed to you. This contract outlines our adoption policies and health guarantees, and must be signed + returned before your kitten is officially reserved. Once you have been sent an adoption contract, the reservation process must be completed within 24 hours or the kitten will come available again to others.

  3. Place Your Reservation Deposit | A depoist amount of $1000 is required at the time of reservation. Deposits are nonrefundable (and nontransferable) and will be deducted from the total adoption price of your kitten.

Step 3 : Pay Your Remaining Balance

The remaining balance for your Ragoll kitten is due at least 7 days before your scheduled pickup/delivery date, to ensure there are no issues with payment before travel plans are solidified. Any money paid toward a kitten is nonrefundable. For more information on pricing and payment, please refer to the pricing section on our Available Ragdoll Kittens page.

Step 4 : Schedule the Pickup/Delivery of Your Ragdoll Kitten

There are a few different options for kitten pickup/delivery:

  • Flight Nanny Delivery | The majority of our kittens are delivered out of state, using professional flight nannies. The flight nanny travels safely in-cabin with the kitten and will hand deliver your kitten to your local airport directly into your arms. Professional flight nanny service starts at $500 and will be arranged directly between you and the transportation company. I can refer you to our preferred, trusted companies.

  • Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Pickup | If you live out of state, you can also fly into Arizona to pick up your kitten in-person at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

  • Local Arizona Pickup | If you live in Arizona, we also offer a local pickup option. Unless other arrangements are made, the meeting place will be at the PetSmart nearest our home. If you are local, please keep in mind that we do not offer cattery visiting hours or kitten pickups at our home. Our homeowner’s insurance does not cover in-home cattery visits and we try to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission to our cats and kittens as much as possible. Thank you for being respectful of this decision.

Please bring a pet carrier to transport your new fur baby home.

Step 5 : Get Ready to Welcome Your Adorable & Loving Ragdoll Kitten!

Please prepare for bringing home your new kitten by reading the information that I email you and gathering kitten supplies. I also recommend scheduling the appointment for your kitten’s veterinarian exam as soon as possible. Congratulations on your new addition! ♡

Our Ragdoll Kitten Adoption Policies

The lifelong health and wellbeing of our kittens is very important to us. We ask each of our adopters to agree to the following policies:

Lifetime Commitment | All of our kittens are adopted under the premise that they have found their forever family & home. We trust that you will never abandon your kitten to an animal shelter or laboratory. We do understand that life happens & circumstances can change, but we ask that you first notify Pastel Ragdolls if you are no longer able to care for your kitten for any reason.

No Outdoor Free Roaming | We want our kittens to be indoor cats. Allowing any cat outdoors puts them at greater risk for catching disease and becoming physical harmed. Ragdolls are sweethearts! They have been bred to be extremely gentle, trusting and loving. They do not have the normal survival instincts that outdoor cats have. Most likely, a Ragdoll cat would not survive long on their own outside. Please do not put your Ragdoll kitty’s life and safety at risk by letting them roam freely outdoors.

No FeLV Vaccinations | This is a non-core vaccination and only recommended for outdoor cats. All of our breeding cats are tested negative for FeLV so it is not in our home environment. This vaccine is associated with an increased risk of injection-site sarcoma (cancer) in felines and the Ragdoll breed is also more prone to vaccine reactions. I ultimately leave all healthcare decisions up to the new owner. However, if the kitten is vaccinated with FeLV, it will void all health guarantees I offer.

I only recommend FVRCP vaccinations and the Rabies vaccination (if required by your state).
